LIST OF HOTEL GUESTS' COMPLAINTS:

1-Room’s temperature control.

2-Slow access to elevators.

3-Slow check-in and check-out transactions.

4-Parking.

5-Many concierges do not speak their language.

6-Inaccessibility to their country newspapers. Many hotels don’t have foreign newspapers and magazines.

7-Small quantity of coffee bags in their rooms.

8-Not enough sugar packs in their rooms.

9-Many rooms do not have ashtrays.

10-Beds are too close to the walls.

11-The small size of the rooms.

12-Concierges can’t get them tickets to their favorite shows or major attractions in town.

13-Hotel’s restaurants closing early.

14-High prices at the hotel’s gift shops.

15-Room service food is always cold.

16-Mineral or spring water is not freely provided in their rooms.

17-Wake-up calls are never on time.

18-No shoe-shine service is available. And if they leave their shoes outside the door of their rooms, they will never find them again.

 

 

 

19-High way robbery prices on long distance calls, faxes and telegrams.

20-No live entertainment.

21-Room mini-bar drinks (mini-bottles in the refrigerator) are extremely expensive.

22-The television set is far away from the bed.

23-Wine list have only American wine or very few French selections.

24-The bread is not warm enough or crispy.

25-Not enough bread on the table.

26-The waiter did not replace or bring new silverware for each meal.

27-The cashew, pistachio and peanuts bags are too small and expensive.

28-The windows in their room don’t open.

29-There is not enough hangers in the room closet to hand their clothes on.  

30-The food has no taste and no flavor.

 

 HOSPITALITY EMPLOYERS' MOST COMMON COMPLAINTS

What hotels and restaurants owners usually complain about?!

1-I knew somebody will screw up.

2-No loyalty.

3-It is so difficult to find good help in America..

4-They will always steal from me.

5-They will sue your ass in a heart beat.

6-First, you tell them you gonna to tell them. And then, you tell them. Then, you tell them again.

7-Everybody gets paid here, except me.

8-They are my employees, but I work for them.

9-With those American employees, demanding and bitching all the time, I cannot pay myself a salary.

10-If you want to stay in business, hire only your mother and own sons. If you can’t, hire those you know from your own country. American employees will always look upon me as a foreigner, no matter what I do, and no matter how good and generous I am toward them.

 

11-American employees will always think that foreigners who succeeded in this country have more than enough. They would not miss an opportunity to steal from me, to take whatever they can, whether it is cash, merchandise or stuff from the office.

12-American employees are creative in theft. They will always figure out new ways to steal.

13-American employees always complain they don’t make enough money.

14-It was not the IRS. It was my American employees who bankrupted me.

15-Don’t kid yourself, they are not your friends.

16-American employees are always looking for another job.

17-They don’t mind coming early to get their paycheck.

18-American employees always keep on telling you how hard they work for you.

19-American employees spy on each other, dislike each other, but when they leave the office, they leave together to get drunk.

20-Ask them to work two weekends in a row, and see how many will get sick so fast.

21-American employees constantly complain about favoritism but, don’t mind if they were the favorite ones.

22-They want a fun place and a family environment at work, yet, they don’t trust each other.

23-Would they call long distance every five minutes, if they were using their own phone?

 

HOSPITALITY EMPLOYEES' MOST COMMON COMPLAINTS

What hotels and restaurants employees usually complain about?!

1-Complaining to employers will not result in any change.

2-We were not given timely, reliable and truthful information about the job and the company.

3-As foreigners, they did not trust us. We were not treated with trust and respect.

4-They don’t trust foreigners and foreigners do not trust them. Still we need each other.

5-We will always have problem with direct supervision and direct supervisors.

6-In big  companies, you are nothing but a serial number.

7-Employers reprimand us in front of customers and fellow employees. They don’t care about your own feelings and whether you have been offended or deeply hurt in your feelings.

8-There is a lot of kissing asses.

9-The supervisor kick sasses of the small employees and kisses the ass of his boss. No honor and no  self esteem.

10-You are never sure when they will fire your ass..

11-Stand up for your rights and you will get fired on the spot

12-Tthere is too much pressure to learn something new.

 

 

13-Haven’t seen a promise that has been kept.

14-Promotions depend on who you suck up to.

15-Meetings are a waste of time.

16-We would like to see an 80 hour check.

17-Supervisors always stress bad points, never good ones.

18-They give you a raise after 3 months to keep you on the job if they need you badly, later to forget about you for 300 years.

19-They send us to training and who is training us? The guy we are complaining about. Terrific!

20-Thank you for allowing me to keep my mouth shut.

21-We keep hearing stuff like this: “Please hire employees who can speak English.”

22-I miss my supervisor when she is not here and I miss her more when she is around.
